Lydgate Mill & Moor came to us directly with a clear ambition: they had outgrown their original identity as Saddleworth Planters. What started as a planting business had expanded into something much broader — including bespoke, high-quality furniture — and the brand needed to reflect that growth. The name was changing, and everything visual needed to change with it.
The starting point was understanding what the business had become, not what it used to be. Lydgate Mill & Moor occupies a particular space — rooted in the landscape of the Saddleworth area, but producing work of genuine craft quality. The new identity needed to carry both of those qualities: a sense of place and a sense of craft.
Working independently across the full brand, I developed a new logo, colour palette and typographic system that positioned the business appropriately for its expanded offering. The identity needed to work equally well on a handcrafted piece of furniture as it would on a planter or a social media post.
The new Lydgate Mill & Moor brand launched in 2026, giving the business an identity that finally matches its ambition. Stationery and social media assets are currently in production.
